After taking two other introductory Excel courses over the years, this online course has made the most sense to me. Constance C I’d like to say how much I appreciate the “For the Classroom” ideas. I will be using those ideas in conjunction with what I have learned so far in my instruction in the lab. Barbara M I enjoyed the challenge and once it was accomplished, I felt a personal triumph. I appreciated the help and support that Stan Dunlap provided when I felt like throwing the computer out the window. He kindly helped me through the spots I needed clarification and enabled me to keep pushing. Kaye H I expected this class to teach me new things to do with Excel. I never thought I would learn so many things that I can really APPLY in my own classroom. This is helpful for me RIGHT NOW. Mariam B I found that it is the only online course that I have truly enjoyed. I have a book I can print off or keep on file that will help me in the future remember functions that I may forget. The assignments were timed well. By submitting assignments only twice, I had plenty of time to complete them. And there were no blogs!!! Gisele F I am very afraid of the computer, I am always afraid I am going to lose something or break something. This class has shown me that I can do it!! I have been playing every day with my power point. It may not be the best, but it is far above where I thought I would ever be. Laurie C This has been one of the most interesting and useful classes I have ever taken. I really enjoyed the ability to utilize all features within a few days time. My students are benefiting through enhanced and engaging lessons. I am also teaching a few colleagues how to incorporate power point slide shows into their instruction! Amelia M When reflecting on this course, I am so proud of myself for getting into the whole technology aspect of my job. It will show my students that their teacher isn’t a dinosaur stuck in the last century. I look forward to experimenting with power point and learning even more about the numerous features. Our grant team met recently and we were “showing off” our presentations and I was blown away by the other members of my team. They are in the intermediate and Advanced classes for PowerPoint and it was UNBELIEVABLE what they accomplished. I have a great deal to look forward to. Diane S I am going to encourage the teachers to start requiring students to use the graphic organizer charts in Word, now that I know about them. I get so comfortable using the same formatting that I never bothered to go beyond. I truly appreciate this course! Barbara H |
